RICARDO
CHACUR
My name is Ricardo Chacur and I am one of the creators
of the Dog Heads, Unsuccessful Hero, Vila , and other histories
that I created with my partner Leandro Silva and Luiz Barini. I
am from Brazil, born in the city of Sao Paulo in the year of 1975,
and since I was a kid I developed a special taste for television,
comic books and especially for movies. As I have always liked the
media work, I ended up studying two years on Communications in the
Universidad Nuevo Mundo, that is located in Mexico City. During
my period in Mexico I had the opportunity to participate in contests
in the communication area and publicity. I won the prize of the
best academicals production of publicity in the year of 1997, in
a contest promoted by ANP - Association of Mexican Publicity, and
I was among the semifinalists of the Bacardi contest in that same
year in that country. In the year of 2001 I was graduated in Radio
and Television in the Faculdade Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP).
Now I work as a television producer in a great Brazilian broadcasting
station. With my friend Leandro Silva, we created the site and company
Dog Heads Productions that possesses a series of services from consultancy
services and creation of scripts to comic books, television and
movies. Besides all that, we develop propaganda and publicity for
persons, small and averages companies that prefer to hire our services
through the site.

LEANDRO
SILVA
Hello! My name is Leandro Silva or "Rat" for the
nearest. I am the designer of the Dog Heads and Vila, I am from
Brazil, from the city of Sao Paulo. I was born in January of 1974
and since I was a kid I also liked television, especially the
cartoons. The very reason that made me start to learn how to draw.
With 17 years in 1991, I formed the rock band "MONTEZUMA" with
some of my friends from the school, that's was the time where
I began to know the whole alternative rock scenery; which inspired
me to enter in the world of the fanzines, releasing in 92 the
fanzine "HOT DOG", initially with comic histories and later with
the participation of bands, sound demos and interviews with artists
of the underground scene. In 95 I participated together with my
friend David Nasser on a project of a radio program that sought
to publish independent bands in a community radio at my neighborhood.
It was now in 2001 that I met Chacur, after a proposal of a comic
for a program in the broadcasting station in that he works. Then
we developed together the Dog Heads.
